In every organisation, the HR department is where employees can expect their wages to be deposited into their bank accounts in a timely manner every month. Moreover, employees should and can trust that their HR department will be able to securely keep their personal information.

However, based on a new study conducted by payroll services company, Paychex, it found that 1 in 5 of small businesses lack confidence in their organization's ability to keep up with HR compliance. Additionally, the top three HR functions that these small businesses have the least confidence in are onboarding (33%), employee handbooks (36%), followed by background checks (26%).
